To nurture healing and growth in children and families by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy and assessment that restores hope and strengthens connection.

My name is Samantha Smith, Psy.D., IMH-E® and I am a psychologist living in New Jersey. I hold a psychology license in New Jersey and Utah- where I was living for 8 years before moving back to New Jersey. In my graduate training, I worked primarily with children ages 4 through 14 years old. During my time in Utah, I worked for a nonprofit providing therapy and assessment services for children from birth through 7 years of age. Throughout my experiences, I worked with children presenting with a variety of difficulties including trauma, anxiety, mood, ADHD, complex grief, autism, developmental delays, and more. I am trained in various evidence-based treatments and assessment tools for young children and their families which are explained in more detail on this website. I was the Psychology Training Director of the nonprofit's competitive, nationally accredited internship program. I have been serving on the board for the Utah Association for Infant Mental Health (UAIMH) where I am the current President and am an endorsed Infant Mental Health Specialist and Reflective Supervisor. I have presented at both the national and local level on topics related to infant and early childhood mental health. As an individual who believes that learning and growth is a lifelong journey, I ensure I am up to date on all certifications and attend several professional development opportunities every year in hopes of providing the best services to the people I work with as possible.

My hope was to always move my family back to the east coast where I was born. It is here in New Jersey where I decided to open my practice in hopes of sharing what I have learned about working with young children with my east coast community. I plan to see clients in-person and via telehealth in New Jersey, offer telehealth services for young children in Pennsylvania and New York, and provide training, supervision, and consultation to providers who are interested in all three states. Please read my website to find out more about these services and do not hesitate to call with any questions. I look forward to meeting you!
